Are you living your dreams? Do you have hope?

Y’all, I’ve been in “live your dreams” mode lately.

Big time.

I am thinking, life is short, so let’s live the thing while we can.

Tell me you agree.

For me, it could be the whole turning 50 thing. Talk about a motivator to have more fun!

Or maybe it’s wanting freedom of choice after enduring an “I’m the boss of you” pandemic for 2 years.

And I think some of it comes from feeling the hurting hearts of people who are oppressed around the world. Is it strange to want to live on their behalf until they can do more of it themselves?

That’s where I’m at, and my “live your dreams” mode is real. It’s intense. I am charged up and ready to live fully.

And I would love for you to absorb some of this!

Live your dreams: An example

Here’s an example. I am on a plane as I type this because if you follow me on any social media, you know that I went to see Bruno Mars in concert (as part of Silk Sonic) for my birthday. 💃🏽

Now if you know me, you know I have been dancing with Bruno in my kitchen for years. I used to pick up our cat and dance when his music came on, dreaming it was live. These days, I shake it with our dog, who is confused and barks the whole time… and never on the beat. She’s cute but she’s a dancing funsucker.

Living my Bruno Mars concert dream meant recruiting some girlfriends to join me, getting a new dress (and blingy earrings), and hopping a flight to Las Vegas for the first time.

Talk about living… ok! Let’s go!

And let me say, the concert was epic. Wow, was it surreal.

I’ll never forget the excitement of the moment when the lights went dark and the show was about to start. You know how dreams are: One minute you’re imagining… and the next, it’s happening but you still feel like you’re the kitchen. That’s how it was, except Bruno was right there, singing his heart out to me (and all of those other people, what were they doing there?) I lived that dream, dancing with all I had in the front row of the balcony, blue dress swishing and blingy earrings swinging. The experience was incredible and I’m choosing to believe Bruno felt my joy. Let me say, I felt his!

Sidenote: I’d share a picture of the concert, but they locked up our phones. They even sang a song about it, “We Took Your Phones Away.” We were living in the moment – not a bad thing – so there’s no photo.

“…What about me?”

Ok, you might be thinking, “Bruno is one heck of a dancer and that’s a great dream, but what about me?”

Funny you should ask!

Let’s go there. I love you too much to leave you out of this.

To start, I’ve got some questions for you.

  • Have you been dreaming?
  • Have you been doing?
  • What’s really been happening?

Let me ask you this: How’s your hope-meter?

Your hope-meter and the next big dream

Hmmm… your hope-meter. Do you give much thought to the amount of hope in your life?

Having hope fuels us to want to do more with the days we are given. It gives us motivation to try.

If your hope-meter is a little low, I want you to know, there’s good news.

Even though my Bruno dream is now a memory, “live your dreams” mode is still on and the next dream involves YOU.

And, not coincidentally, it involves hope.

So here’s the scoop: On March 19, there are 22 speakers from all walks of life (and 3 continents) coming to an event that I am planning and hosting. They are going to fill us with hope by sharing their silver lining stories.

If silver linings are unfamiliar, they are what shows up when blessings come from difficulties.

Maybe you’ve heard it said, “Every cloud has a silver lining.” It’s fun to look at the clouds below our plane as I ponder this with you.

Have you heard about the event? It’s called the Silver Lining Stories Livecast and it’s going to be such a wonderful day!

Wait until you meet these speakers: You will love them! They are fabulous, caring people who want the same things we do… Hope, joy, peace, goodness… and fullness of life. Dream living. They are real people who will touch you with their heartfelt shares.

And the best part is, you can come without even leaving your house: It’s online. If you are out & about that day, you can even catch parts of it from your phone.

Have hope: Come to the Silver Lining Stories Livecast

Here’s your official invitation: Come to the Silver Lining Stories Livecast on March 19. And bring the people you know who could use more hope.

Did I mention that the event is our gift to you? There’s no cost to attend!

We are doing this because we can… but it wouldn’t be the same without YOU.

In fact, it would be kinda pointless without an audience.

The truth about hope

The truth about hope is, it can be fleeting in response to the many difficulties in the world. We can abandon hope without even realizing it. The good news is, while we can’t control all our circumstances, we can choose our response to them.

We can’t avoid problems, and we shouldn’t pretend they don’t exist.

If you want joy despite the challenges of life, focus on what’s being learned while you are experiencing hardship, and look for the silver linings. It can be really beautiful when we realize goodness happened that wouldn’t have been possible without the tough times. Talk about a surreal moment.

One last thing, because this is a judgment-free zone and I know you won’t judge me. This event is something I’ve wanted to bring to you for over a year. Probably closer to 2 years. I wanted to live this dream, but as many times as I tried, it wouldn’t come together. I believe it wasn’t in line with God’s timing until now, because this time around, the pieces fell into place quickly. Almost too quickly… and I need your help getting the word out!

Would you help me spread the word about this event? It’s open to everyone and I’d love to reach anyone and everyone who’d like more hope. I’d like to welcome people who want to live fully but feel stuck. People who would see the silver linings if they just knew how.

Please help me reach them by sharing this article with them or by posting this link on social media: http://joytotheworldcoaching.com/livecast

Follow my lead: The time has come to stop dreaming and start doing!!
